A list of the best selling video games worldwide. Lists are given in terms of software units sold for single‑platform and multi‑platform releases, paid mobile downloads, and gross revenue figures.
The following tables list the best-selling games by the number of units sold.
Note that the lists exclude arcade coin drops, mobile downloads, and online subscriptions. Paid mobile downloads are excluded because they typically cost around $1-5 each, whereas console and PC games typically cost around $20-70 each. It would be an apples-to-oranges comparison to list them together, so paid mobile downloads are listed separately.
