- Building. The number one, top most fun thing to do in Minecraft, would have to be building. This could range from a variety of builds from mansions / castles to cottages / caverns and so much more.
- Hardcore Mode. Hardcore is a mode option available for Java only. It automatically makes your world difficulty set to hard. Hardcore is essentially a ‘one life’ mode as when you die, you’ll get an option of either spectating the world or quit to the title screen.
- Exploration. One of the top three most fun things to do in minecraft would be exploring. It may seem boring thinking about it, but there are many things you could come across while exploring the wildlife of Minecraft.
- Playing with mods. Like most games, Minecraft can be modded to enhance your experience whilst playing. A mod is a file that’s added to your Minecraft at start-up, to add new animals, better graphics, new blocks/items and so much more.

- Hunt for Rare Items. Although many rare items in Minecraft are difficult to obtain, they make the game much more fun and easier to play. Not every rare item in Minecraft is worth hunting down, but some of the most rewarding items include the Totem of Undying, the Elytra, and Enchanted Golden Apples.
