Skate, London's premier winter experience returns to Somerset House, welcoming visitors for an unparalleled skating experience in the heart of the capital, against the magical backdrop of our iconic courtyard.
The ice rink is open-air and skating continues come rain or shine. As we are an outdoor ice rink, weather conditions can make the surface of the ice wet. We are always monitoring the safety of our ice rink, and wet ice is safe to skate on. Remember to dress warmly and wear something waterproof.
Skate School returns to Somerset House this year, offering beginners and enthusiasts the opportunity to brush up their skills and become skating superstars with daytime coaching courses run by National Ice Skating Association (NISA) accredited instructors.
Balamii DJs Patrisha and LUCID will take up the rinkside decks across two evenings as skaters take their final spins on the ice, bringing the best and latest mixes and sounds from rave, 2-step and techno to deep and acid house.

The cosy, chalet-themed restaurant invites visitors to indulge in a seasonal menu of winter favourites and warming drinks.
