“The Dark Knight” is definitely villain focused. Of course Batman is a huge part but not the focal point. In “The Dark Knight Rises” however we follow him the whole way through, and Batman/Bruce is tested far more; undergoing a fair bit of character development, while I would say he is fairly static in the Dark Knight.
