They are 2 seperate games from 2 seperate game makers. Story mode is a telltell game set in a minecraft based world but it isn't a mode of Minecraft itself inspite of its name. Minecraft itself is available from Mojang (now owned by Microsoft) at www.minecraft.net not from Steam.
