- Elden Ring. Since its earliest days, the driving force behind the evolution of the open-world genre has been “go bigger.” Not long after a major new open-world game is announced, people rush to figure out how big its map is and how much there is to do in it.
- Red Dead Redemption 2. Red Dead Redemption was an incredible “GTA with horses” experience that expertly invoked the thrills of high-octane Western films like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, High Noon, and The Magnificent Seven.
