License management is how you assign or unassign licenses to the users who will play Minecraft Education. Managing your licenses used to depend on two factors: the type of licenses you purchased (academic or commercial) and where you purchased them (either in the Store for Education or the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.)
Qualified educational organizations can purchase Minecraft Education through Volume Licensing. Visit the Volume Licensing options page to connect with a channel partner who can help you find the licensing agreement that best fits your school.
Assign or Remove a Minecraft Education license from a user. If your school organization has purchased a Microsoft 365 A3 or A5 plan, the Minecraft Education license is automatically included for each account that you assign the A3 or A5 license to.
From the left-hand menu, go to Billing > License and select the Minecraft Education license. Select Assign licenses.
