Jul 31, 2023 · Wolf Of Wall Street falls short of that. It's excess for excess' sake. The protagonist is an unmitigated jerk and, well, we're asked to go on this ride with him. And then the film forces the humor on us rather than earning it. Wolf of Wall Street moves too much into satire territory and I think that's it's undoing.
