  4. Apr 16, 2016 · If you wish to switch to a previously captured villain you can return to the Skylanders Academy and proceed to the jail in the middle to choose which villain you would like to place in the trap. Villains are not as upgradable as a Skylander is, you do not have an upgrade tree to purchase and you do not level them up by gathering experience.

The Trapper is an intermediate tower that can be bought for 3,000. It places down various traps on the ground, which when they come in contact with an enemy, the traps damage it in various ways or apply debuffs to them. When there are no enemies in range, the Trapper will lay its traps randomly, but if there is an enemy within range the Trapper will target it by laying its traps directly at the enemy. The only exception is when it is set to Random. Although a random enemy will still be highlighted when the Trapper is selected, the Trapper will lay its traps randomly and not at the highlighted enemy.

There are three types of traps that the Trapper can place down. The first is the spike trap, available from Level 0. Spike traps have a set amount of health, which when decreased to zero make them disappear. This trap can hit as many enemies as long as it still has health. This trap can also deal more damage than its health, as the damage it deals to an enemy is the same as its full health, though defense can decrease it. For example, if a spike trap has 1 health out of 40 left, an enemy that steps on it will receive the full 40 damage, if its health is at least 40. Spike traps get smaller as their health gets lower.

The second type is the landmine, unlocked at Level 2. When an enemy steps on it, it will quickly explode, dealing splash damage to all enemies caught in its explosion and applying burn. This explosion deals full damage to enemies with defense, while its burn decreases defense by 7.5% each tick at Level 4, dropping up to 50% of an enemy's defense.

The third and last trap is the bear trap, unlocked at Level 4. This trap, unlike the two previous traps, only deals damage to a single enemy. However, it deals higher damage than them and stuns the enemy it hits for 3 seconds.

•As it takes a long time for the Trapper to place down its traps, it is generally recommended to place it down in the back, where it has more time to pile up traps.

•The Commander can also be used to decrease the Trapper's firerate, allowing it to place down more traps.

•The Trapper's spikes can be very useful early on at dealing with both hordes of weaker enemies like the Abnormal and stronger enemies like the Abnormal Boss.

•It is generally best to place down multiple Level 0 Trappers early on because of their cost efficiency.

•Landmines can be quite useful at clearing out hordes of enemies, because of their high damage, them setting enemies on fire and their ability to ignore defense.

•At Level 4, the burn applied by landmines can now reduce an enemy's defense by 7.5% each tick, decreasing it up to 50%.

•The Trapper is loosely based on the Spike Factory from the Bloons Tower Defense series.

1.DPS assumes only one enemy is hit by a single trap and receives full damage.

2.Total Elapsed Damage is calculated as Burn Damage × (Burn Time ÷ Tick).

3.Can drop up to 50% of an enemy's defense.

4.DPS assumes only one enemy is hit by a single trap and receives full damage.

DPS is calculated as Landmine DPS + Burn DPS.

Burn DPS is calculated as Burn Damage × Burn Time for burn times shorter or equal to one second, while for burn times longer than one second it is calculated as Burn Damage ÷ Tick.
