Normal disc that just says “Minecraft Story Mode” contains the first 5 episodes of season 1. These episodes are not on the disc (apart from Episode 1) so if you’re purchasing for a console with a shut down store (currently only Xbox 360, though PS3 could be soon) you won’t be able to play the other episodes.

The first five episodes were released between October 2015 through March 2016 and an additional three episodes were released as downloadable content (DLC) in mid-2016.
A second season consisting of five episodes was released in 2017. The game follows the same episodic format as other Telltale Games titles, such as The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, and Game of Thrones.
