PSA: Avoid Overwolf software with alternative launchers. Currently there is 1 good option available and a close 2nd. Both allow instances (separate version and modpack installations that do not interfere with eachother). Both allow granular mod enabling/disabling as well as drag+drop mod jar installation.
I have been using the FTB App for about half a year now and I have loved it so far. Ever since this latest update with Overwolf, the app has become unplayable. When the App is opened it starts the same like before. I choose the modpack and it opens up Minecraft Launcher, but when I click play the launcher closes and I assume it crashed.
I want to play the brand new FTB-Genesis modpack and can't seem to find a way to download it manually. I use prism launcher for modded minecraft and the FTB tab seems to be legacy only. Is there anyway or am I going to have to download FTB app in a VM and transfer the modded files like that?

Before playing Feed The Beast, you should do the following:
1.Purchase Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC from the Microsoft Store. It is included with PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Once you have Minecraft: Java Edition successfully running on its own you are ready to install the FTB App.
1.Download the app from here.
2.Run the app.
3.Configure the installation folder and desktop shortcuts.
There are many FTB modpacks, as listed here. The FTB App can also be used to install CurseForge modpacks as well.
Installing an FTB modpack
1.In the app's main window click on the magnifying glass icon on the left.
2.Click on one of the modpacks. The app will show an overview of the modpack. Click on the "Mods" tab to view a list the mods that make up that modpack.
3.Once you have chosen your modpack, click the "Install" button.
4.Wait as the app downloads and installs the modpack.
