JDK 17 binaries are free to use in production and free to redistribute, at no cost, under the Oracle No-Fee Terms and Conditions License, where LTS stands for long-term support. Sep 14, 2021 · As an LTS release, Oracle JDK 17 will receive performance, stability and security updates for at least 8 years following the Oracle Critical Patch Update (CPU) schedule as outlined in the Oracle Java SE Support Roadmap. Oracle JDK 18, the next six month cadence release is now scheduled for in March 2022.
