Clifton is Bristol’s most exclusive suburb and where Bristol city started! At the time of the Domesday Book there was a small settlement of farmers here, but no mention of the city.
Beginning with the Clifton Triangle and reaching into the area affectionately known as Clifton Village, this stunning Georgian area is always hugely popular with visitors. Clifton is a 15-20 minute stroll up Park Street from the centre, or you can also take the bus to the shops and bars of Clifton Village with a regular service running every day (except public holidays).

The beautiful suburb of Clifton, sitting high on a hill above the city of Bristol, is one of the most popular places to visit in the city. I actually lived here for two years while I was a student at Bristol UWE, and spent many a summer’s day lazing on the downs or enjoying views of the suspension bridge from the White Lion Pub!
