Oct 25, 2021 · Playing 1.18 on Minecraft Bedrock. Bedrock players don’t really have to download anything. Playing on a newer version just requires you to change a settings when you create a new world in the game. Start up your game in Bedrock, and when you are in Worlds just hit the Create New and then the Create New World button.
For some players, less is more, and Java Edition allows them to relive simpler times in the world of Minecraft. All you need to do is choose your desired version from the Installations tab in the Launcher. On Bedrock Edition, however, you can only play the latest stable version or beta/preview.

The height and depth of Minecraft’s world have been increased now, allowing for more opportunities for mining and building. Caves in Minecraft 1.18 stretch all the way down to Y level 64, while the world build limit has now been pushed to a whopping 320 blocks high.
