The fastest way to get the upgrade is to download the ISO. An ISO is like a dvd so to use it you will need to right click>mount. Start the upgrade from within windows. I would use the techbench link. The Official Final Windows 10 download is now available (10586) Use the download tool to create ISO media to update your windows.
- In File Explorer, create a new folder named ResetRecoveryImage at a location (ex: F: ) where you want to keep the recovery image stored at. TipIt would be recommended to create the ResetRecoveryImage on a hard drive other than the one Windows is installed on to help protect you in case the Windows hard drive should fail.
- If you have not already, download a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 10 ISO file that is the same edition and 32-bit or 64-bit as your currently installed Windows 10.
- Double click/tap on the ISO file to mount and open it. Open the sources folder, and copy the install.wim file.
- Paste the install.wim file into the new ResetRecoveryImage folder from step 1 above.
- Click/tap on the Download button below, and click/tap on the Download tool now button at Microsoft's site.
- Save the MediaCreationTool.exe file (version 10.0.16299.15) to your desktop, and run it.
- If prompted by UAC, click/tap on Yes.
- Click/tap on Accept for the license terms.
