After installing, go to settings -> display -> full-screen apps and change NewPipe from automatic to full-screen. Then head over to the app's settings and change default video quality to 1080p. You can also tweak other settings as you wish. I set switching apps while playing a video to automatically toggle background audio playback for example.
Sep 16, 2021 · YouTube actually allows you to make this the default way videos are played in fullscreen. First, open the YouTube app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner. Select "Settings" from the menu. Now go to the "General" section. Toggle the switch on for "Zoom to Fill Screen." That's it!
Then you need to tap in the middle of the playing video to show the square icon in lower right to maximize the video to full screen, and then tap that to go full screen. That’s four taps to play a channel full screen. Any auto play, auto maximize setting or script to make this quicker?
