Jun 8, 2022 · I own a Z30, and have not realized that BlackBerry Protect was still activated when the servers shut down. I am unable to wipe the device using the standard procedure. "Settings -> Security and Privacy -> Security Wipe" will ask for BBID password, but nothing happens on "verify". A wrong password is rejected (and failed attempts count up to 10).

Sep 9, 2017 · If you're referring to your device password (not your BBID) then there is nothing you can do. Enter it incorrectly 10 times, and the PlayBook will wipe itself and you can start over from scratch.
Oct 25, 2022 · To perform a hard reset, remove the battery for a few seconds and then reinsert. For a soft reset, press and hold the Alt, Right-Shift, and Backspace/Delete keys. To restore your Blackberry to its original factory settings, go to Options > Security Settings > Security Wipe.
