Jun 13, 2012 · Its a very simple fix. I took an antistatic bag that came with a hard drive and cut a strip out of it. I then folded it over a couple of times and then wedged it in behind the controller board on the power button side. Its raised the power button and made it extremely easy to push works as i beleived it was designed to do.
Power off your device and wait a few seconds. Press and hold Volume Up + Power buttons together until recovery mode screen appears. (These button combinations can change on different modals.) When you see the device logo release the Power button, but keep holding Volume Up until the recovery mode screen comes.

When I let up on the buttons, no matter how long I wait, nothing happens. I have to push the power button to turn it back on. Is that how a hard reset is suppose to work?
