Also you need to make sure your "new" battery isn't dead.... as that's not out of the question with the age of these.

May 1, 2024 · There is another way to do it but is a little more involved. If you can get to the actual alarm then just take the little nine volt battery out of the siren and then it has no power. Only problem, it is in the same compartment as the ECM and if you have a Power commander you know how much of a pain it is to get there.
