4 days ago · I have just activated my sim and received confirmation my old number has successfully ported. However when I didn’t receive a text across my devices I was suspicious. My number in my IPhone 11 Pro is set to the random sim number sent. I’ve tried to change it to my old number and it won’t save. Keeps defaulting to random sim number.

This is a method that requires the hacker to physically copy the SIM card by placing it in a card reader attached to a computer. Smart card copying software on the computer will then allow the number to be cloned onto a blank SIM card.
I'm wondering if/how I can take an old phone of mine and turn it into my only phone when I run. Currently using an iphone, and through research I'm seeing I won't be able to take my phone or port my number unless my father (who owns the plan) approves (because that's how t-mobile rolls), so I've accepted I'll have to let it all go when I run.
