Jul 6, 2017 · I upgraded the OS to Mountain Lion, 10.8.5. I want to do a factory reset, but I can't seem to get the computer to enter Recovery Mode. The computer also won't let me erase the hard drive or reinstall off of the Mac OS X Snow Leopard install CD's that came with it when new. I have a Time Machine backup on an external hard drive.

Apr 26, 2019 · Technically, you might be OK, if you have 10.6.6 or newer version of Snow Leopard. Enter this address: https://itunes.apple.com/app/os-x-el-capitan/id1147835434?mt=12 into Safari on the iMac. You should be able to download El Capitan.
Jan 27, 2014 · Part One: Erasing the hard drive. Turn on the computer. Insert the Mac OS X Install DVD into the optical drive, or insert the MacBook Air Software Reinstall Drive into the USB port. Restart the computer. Press and hold the "C" key while the computer starts up. The computer will start up using the Install media.
First, you need an autoloader. Download the corresponding one for your device here: BB10 Autoloaders. Turn off your device, plug it into your computer and run the autoloader. It'll do its job and you should be at the setup screen!
