    • Steep your weary bones in Caldera’s hot springs. If you intend to do any serious hiking in the Chiriquí highlands, it’s worth scheduling a recovery day at the hot springs of Caldera.
    • Celebrate Afro-Panamanian culture in Portobelo. The impregnable fortress of Portobelo once served as the Atlantic terminus of Spain’s transcontinental supply chains.
