Feb 27, 2024 · A neighbour has quotes of: Loft £120k, side return £100k. Prices have increased quite dramatically recently. It’s going to depend on the size, and whether you’re including a new kitchen/shower room etc. £80-100k is about right for the build costs, but a new kitchen and shower room could be £20-30k on top of that.

Just to add, we had someone build out the dormer frame for us - they work for a loft company and said they're currently quoting around £100-120k for similar in the area. Bespoke joinery and expensive bathroom materials/suites can really push up the price. And F&B paint - obviously!

Gave an estimate in August 2021 of £36k (not including bathroom suite/tiles, just fitting) but said to allow 10% contingency. Mar 30, 2023 · Depends on the materials and the work required. Would suspect anywhere between £50k - £90k - We had a loft conversion done on our property back in 2011 and paid £65k. Loft not tall enough it turns out 😂. Now debating extending over an existing flat roof extension. Or, kids in small bedrooms, less mortgage, happy life.
Oct 9, 2022 · It's a bungalow, so large footprint. Trussed roof, lots of structural work. Dormer windows at rear, Velux at front. Two large bedrooms and postage stamp shower room. Also had kitchen wall rebuilt and a few other bits and bobs, so taking those out of the equation, price of loft conversion alone is about £45,000.
Jun 23, 2021 · Here in south east London latest quotes for not fancy in any way - 2 rooms, one shit shower room is £80. 42k for loft in a bungalow so new staircase and 2 decent bedrooms one bathroom. No dormer though as space was big enough just 6 velux 2 of them large and one gable end window. End of 2019.
Jan 17, 2021 · He would love to do it but it’s a bit time sensitive in regards to having the roof off. We have 2 young boys so best to get it up as quickly as possible. £30k is the figure I’ve got in my head for a shell so if it can be done for less than that then I’d be extremely happy! It’s fantastic if he could build it.
