When Róisín Murphy released the Moloko debut album “Do You Like My Tight Sweater?” with Mark Brydon in 1995, the Irishwoman was just 22 years old. The two had met shortly beforehand in a smoky club in Sheffield; it was love at first dance, so to speak.
Murphy and Brydon broke up but were contractually obligated to deliver further albums. After the 2003 release of Statues, Brydon withdrew from much of the album's promotion so Murphy handled most of it. [15] No official statement about Moloko's future was issued but Murphy told Q magazine in May 2005:
