Aug 30, 2009 · DHAKA, Aug 29 Bangladesh will allow private sector investment to set up oil refineries both for domestic use and export, a senior official said on Saturday.
According to the proposed policy, private refineries must sell at least 60% of their fuel oil products to the government-owned BPC at a price set by the government during the initial three years. The remaining 40% of the fuel oil can be sold by the refineries through their own marketing channels.
