  2. May 1, 2023 · 1. Walk Around Town. Source: Joyce Holyoak / shutterstock. Whitehaven. It’s impossible to get lost in the centre of Whitehaven as the town was plotted on a spacious right-angled grid. Leading to the harbour are the broad and grand thoroughfares, Duke Street and Lowther Street.

  5. Lovely walk all around the harbour - you can do a complete circuit. Amazing to see very orange water in places. Lots of street art including some little fish embedded in the floor. A few nice spots for coffee and people watching - including those who are doing the coast to coast walk.
