Dec 30, 2020 · Of these, Partick Burgh Hall is the oldest. It was built in 1872 to the designs of William Leiper (who also designed Cottiers, the former Dowanside Church). Pollokshaws Burgh Hall is another such striking building. It was designed by Robert Rowand Anderson, of Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute fame.

However, many burgh halls have survived including those for Maryhill, Crosshill, Govan, Govanhill, Partick, Pollokshaws (shown in the picture below) and Pollokshields.
