In September 2021, Instagram began rolling out the Map search feature. The in-app map will show nearby shops, venues, and cafes, and if a user taps on one of the map items, Instagram will then show more information about the business like hours, address, pricing, their Instagram profile, and public posts tagged at that location. May 17, 2023 · Today, we previewed new Instagram features at a product education workshop in our Mumbai office, to help creators unleash their creativity and earn more from their Reels content. These features include GIF comments on posts and Reels, Instagram Gifts and new editing features on Reels.
- Reels Template. According to Instagram, 91% of active Instagram users watch videos on the app weekly — so Reels is a tool marketers should leverage if they aren't already.
- Dual Camera. Instagram's new dual camera feature allows users to record content with their back-facing camera at the same time as their front-facing camera.
- Remix Photos. Since 2021, Instagram users have been able to remix Reels to create their own content, collaborate with creators, or react to a video. Now, the remix feature can be applied to Instagram photos as well.
- Interactive Stickers. Many of the interactive stickers that have been available on Instagram Stories are now available for Reels. Marketers and content creators can use the following stickers in their Reels to engage their audience
