  1. Feb 12, 2024 · Here are seven reasons why it is important for believers to make church a priority in their personal and family schedules. 1. 2. Aug 26, 2021 · A: Only one thing is necessary in God’s eyes for us to become a Christian—and that is our personal faith and trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. The Bible says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved ” (Romans 10:9).

  3. Because church is a community of people who are seeking to be followers of Jesus together; who are committed to support one another, pray for one another, help and encourage one another—and, yes, challenge one another to become more like Jesus. • To Participate in Corporate Worship. Worshiping God alone is wonderful, but nothing can replace the beauty of coming together corporately to worship Him with others who also have His Spirit in them through the redeeming work of salvation.
    • Because Iron Sharpens Iron. That is what Proverbs 27:17 tells us. Meeting regularly with other believers is a source of encouragement and strength. But know this: when iron rubs against iron, not only does it become sharper, it also causes sparks!
    • To Exercise Your Gift. From preaching to encouraging, hospitality to administration, God equips His children with gifts to serve Christ. (See 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12:6).
  4. Reduces stress: attending church regularly has mental health benefits. You will have less anxiety, worries, and fears. It’s not that people who attend church don’t suffer from these things, it’s that when we learn to focus on the reason we attend church (to stand in the presence of God) we have hope. 2. Companionship: there are a lot of ...

  6. Jun 11, 2023 · The early church needed one another. And so do we. It’s in that context where we come to understand what the Bible says about going to church. We don’t go to church because we’re under an obligation to do so. We gather because, as citizens of heaven, not earth (Phil 3:20), we’re outsiders on this planet (1 Pet 2:11).
