If you open twitch and look at the category of games, 3 out of top 5 are usually shooting games. Most people that I talk to have played at least one of the popular shooting games. Thinking in terms of game design, what is it about shooting in a game that appeals? Some thoughts:
Gun was a fun game but it only really had one good playthrough. The mechanics were easy and the story was pretty decent. I actually liked Gun better than Red Dead Revolver...but replayability is what killed it for me.
