The away end is built like a shed with a triangular roof, perfect for pumping up the atmosphere, made even better by being within spitting distance of the home fans. The view of the moors peering over the top of the Bob Lord Stand is brilliant, too.

Sep 8, 2021 · Burnley first moved into Turf Moor in 1883 after being invited to use a spare plot of land by Burnley Cricket Club who had occupied the site by themselves for over 50 years. In the Claret’s formative years when the team was known as Burnley Rovers Football Club and they occasionally played rugby union, their home was at Calder Vale Ground.
