There's definitely a curve when it comes to mastering the survival aspect of the game. Where to find stones, fruit, and other wild sources of food and materials. It can be fun for some, not for others. Doesn't necessarily mean it's trash, maybe it's just not for you.
Jan 26, 2014 · Why is DayZ so bad? This game, is utterly, disgusting. The amount of time it takes to find a can of food, to then only be shot down by some 40 year old virgin that has spent countless days playing to find himself a sniper and gas mask (because he must look cool being a ♥♥♥♥).
At least you started playing now, you missed all the fucked up glitches and bad features like flying cars, disappearing loot, guns not working, loot hoarders keeping all the best gear buried and dupe glitching.
We see clear evidence of this when we see reviews saying that the game is bad because "it's a running simulator" or "im constantly getting killed by hypothermia". Dayz was always a running simulator and a brutal, punishing survival game even in the mod. The players who came to the SA from the mod would never make complaints like that.

Jul 31, 2017 · Recently on steam I have seen that DayZ went to mostly negative, it has hit this point before, but honestly I don't think 80% of the negative reviews are legit. Majority of them are trolls saying memes about "Early Access" or something among the lines of lag/desync.

DayZ may have its downsides, but I have had some of the best moments i've ever had in a game, in this game. Buying it on third day after launch you can see that it's come such a long way. I mean the bugs are bad, but the game itself as a whole outrules the bad.
