  4. Dec 8, 2023 · When setting the agenda for your first book club meeting, consider the following factors: Introductions: Allow time for members to introduce themselves and get to know each other. Book Discussion: Allocate sufficient time for members to discuss the book. Consider using discussion questions to guide the conversation.

    • Send Out Meeting Reminders. We recommend that you send out a meeting reminder at least a week in advance of your book club date. The obvious benefit is to remind people to attend, along with the when and where.
    • Come Prepared. Don’t assume that the book club conversation will simply flow freely. It’s a good idea to come prepared with some discussion prompts which can get the conversation going, or revive one that’s flagging.
