When your child joins the school, he or she will be in the care of a resident Head of House, overseen by the Director of Boarding, assisted by tutors and matrons. The House team monitor all aspects of a student’s progress throughout their career and will liaise with you closely during this time.

Boarding life is enriched with weekend activities and opportunities to explore the local area, all while maintaining a close connection to the school’s vibrant atmosphere.
Since September 2019, the school has five day houses and six boarding houses. Each house works in conjunction with the main school to provide pastoral care and academic support. Since 2024, Sellers has been converted into a through house from Year 7 to 13 and School Lodge has been closed.
Jun 7, 2024 · School Lodge is the entrance house for boys boarding with 34 Year 9 boys coming from a wide variety of different schools. The girls boarding is split between two houses, Blubery and Scott and home to pupils from Year 9 to Year 13.

Our Boarding Heads of Houses live on site and have families of their own providing powerful pastoral support and instilling a sense that boarders are very much an extension of the Heads of Houses family life. Each Head of House is supported by three resident members of the School staff.
