After looking at Snape's memory of the Marauders embarrassing him in front of the rest of the school, Harry's take away is that his father clearly wasn't a good person, and reminded him a bit of Dudley. This is fair, because Harry's situation as a child was similar to what Snape faced thanks to the Marauders.
