Alien X first appeared in X = Ben + 2, where he stopped a flood caused by a broken dam. After much fruitless arguing, Ben convinces Serena and Bellicus to transform him into another alien (mostly by insulting them). Ben swore that he won't use Alien X again, as it is not worth the price.
Alien X is the case of a good idea, but terrible execution. They came up with an alien who is basically a genie that can do whatever Ben wishes, but with the twist of needing to convince the two asshole masks. Extremely good concept, but the writers didn't have a single clue what to do with it.

The main reason for this is that if you listen to his voice, you can only hear Ben's voice talking. But when Bellicus and Serena are the ones in control in Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, you could hear all there of them speaking in unison. This means Ben was on his own with Alien X.

Alien X demonstrated how he can create and use time waves to reverse anything as seen in the episode, X = Ben + 2 when he fixed up a water dam. Alien X also demonstrated his second ability that with his power he can recreate an entire universe at will.
