Ten contemporary British composers are recreating Handel's Water Music for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations on Saturday June 3. The new suite, which is expected to be 50 minutes in length, will be performed by a 15-piece ensemble on a floating barge as part of a 1000-boat flotilla travelling from Putney to Tower Bridge.

The New Water Music draws on Handel’s original titles with eleven leading contemporary British composers contributing a newly written five minute movement each. The work will be performed for the first time on a barge which will be part of a 1000 boat flotilla celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
