Executioner series (1969-1980) are a men's action-adventure series written by Don Pendleton. They revolve around the central character, Mack Bolan, in a stylized, pulp fiction format, beginning with War Against the Mafia in 1969, and ending with Satan's Sabbath in 1980.
Created by Don Pendleton, Bolan made his first appearance on the printed page in The Executioner #1: War Against the Mafia (1969). Pendleton wrote 37 other novels featuring Bolan, often referred to as the "Mafia Wars".
