Feb 17, 2023 · After losing the title to Tanahashi at Dominion 2012, Okada set his sights on a G1 Climax 22 victory to earn his next title shot at Wrestle Kingdom 7 in the Tokyo Dome. This would be the first of three Okada vs. Tanahashi Tokyo Dome main events.
Kota won the G1 that year and then went to WK to challenge Okada on night one. THEN, Naito won the Championship on night two. For Naito to truly complete his story he has to Win the G1, Main Event WK for the World Title, and win the title with the Stardust Press.
