Federico Sforza (20 January 1603 – 24 May 1676) was an Italian Catholic cardinal. Biography. Sforza was born in 1603, the son of Alessandro Sforza, 7th Count of Santa Fiora, Duke of Segni and Prince of Valmontone - and Eleonora Orsini. [1] In 1623 he became protonotary apostolic participante.

Federico Sforza was an Italian Catholic cardinal.
Cardinal Sforza left Rome, together with Cardinal Lunati on January 16, 1495; on January 31, he received the absolution from the pope for having left Rome and reconciled with the pontiff; he was in Nepi and the pope recalled him to Rome; arrived on March 7, 1495 and stayed at the Apostolic Palace.
Elected titular archbishop of Cesarea, July 6, 1665. Consecrated, July, 12, 1665, hurch of S. Maria in Vallicella, by Cardinal Federico Sforza, assisted by Giacomo Theodoli, bishop of Forlì, and by Giacinto Cordella, bishop of Venafro. Nuncio to Switzerland from July 15, 1665 until March 1668.
Consecrated, August 17, 1670, Rome, by Cardinal Federico Sforza, assisted by Giuseppe Palermo, bishop of Conversano, and by Domenico Gianuzzi, titular bishop of Dioclea. Participated in the conclave of 1676 , which elected Pope Innocent XI.
