Mar 27, 2022 · Unfortunately, Leo Suter won’t be returning as Young Stringer in ‘Sanditon’ season 2 because he has exited the show. The makers shared in an interview that Leo’s other projects conflict with their schedule and thus he bowed out of future seasons.

Growing up the son of a stone mason. As his father's father was a stone mason also. Young Stringer is one of the local workers in Sanditon working for Tom Parker, but he has bigger dreams than the cards he’s been dealt. His father, Old Stringer, begs him to be realistic about what his life will be.
Forman
Young Stringer is the foreman on Tom Parker’s building project, but he wants to be an architect. He wants to advance. He is eager to rise through the social ranks on merit. He even undertook the task of sketching and designing a Pagoda. Needing the three candles of light to do it, which annoyed his father. Tom Parker ended up not wanting to use it, to Mr. Stringer's disappointment
Meeting Charlotte
His relationship with Charlotte is something special. She was staying with Mr. and Mrs. Parker and she came with Mr. Tom Parker to the work sign. As soon as Young Stringer meets Charlotte, he realizes she’s something special. He also loves her modus operandi. She can float through the Parker’s stuffiness because she is willing to get her hands dirty. That really appeals to Young Stringer. She also understands architecture and design as well, in a few most females don't seem to vocalize out loud.
Fred Robinson
Stringer is glad for his close friend Fred Robinson. As they worked together when trying to talk to his father Old Stringer. Teaming up to confront Mr. Parker about the unsafe working conditions and the fact they were behind in being paid their wages. Stringer is idealistic and kind, but also a hard worker who fights for what’s fair–even when it’s not easy. That fact balances their friendship out those everything that happens. After Old Stringer had the terrible injury, and was tended to by Charlotte, Sidney Parker and Dr Fuchs. They were able to stop the bleeding and Fuchs's skill save the leg. Fred Robinson helps wheel him around on a flat bed cart. The 2 friend brought the work men for the annual cricket match against the gentlemen. Even if in the end it was miss Charlotte Heywood who dominated and shocked all that she could play. Even if she was a girl, and Charlotte who won the game for the gentlemen's team but Stringer maybe did let her win, on that last throw of the ball. The 2 friend teamed up together with another local friend to form a 3-man rowing team in the first ever Sanditon’s regatta and beat out the 3 Parker brothers team to win the race in the end. Having to admit the trophy was not the prize he was homing for. Fred Robinson understands his feeling for miss Charlotte Heywood. Being encouraging each time. Hoping that one of those conversation will be the one when she tells Stringer that she feels the same for him. Also is impressed as Stringer cleans up as well as any gentleman for attending the Midsummer Ball.
Stringer was doing well in his apprenticeship in London, and is well on his way to being an architect. The parkers update Charlotte that next summer on her return to Sanditon.
