In the episode My Brother's Keeper (episode), Cade was getting better, functioning as a normal human being, as he walked in to see him painting the walls of his apartment. He was sceptical but Cade reassured he was taking his medication. With Cade's persistence, he visited with him to his group session. And with the help of Cade, there he was reintroduced to an old flame at the time, Savannah Kelly. He met Savannah again at the corrections faculty while talking through the bars of the turnstyle gate. He was contacted by Savannah, about his brother's case worker.
