Well-known brands produced by Lyons Maid included: Zoom (no longer in production), Strawberry Mivvi, Orange Maid, Lolly Gobble Choc Bomb, Fab and Haunted House.
Oct 14, 2023 · The brand disappeared in 1992 after it was bought by Nestle who re-branded Lyon’s Maid to Nestle Ice Cream. After a series of mergers and takeovers the Lyon’s Maid brand was resurrected in 2003. It’s still with us today along with many of it’s popular products (but not Zoom).

Lyons Maid is currently owned by Froneri, an ice cream manufacturer based in Yorkshire, England, which is owned by Nestlé and PAI Partners - each company owns a 50% share. The French equity firm PAI Partners bought R&R ice cream in 2013, which was originally Richmond Ice Cream (established in 1985).
Mivvi Ice Creams were made originally by Lyons Maid. They were an ice-cream centre with a fruit ice outer shell and were available in orange at first but later strawberry and raspberry were added as alternative flavours. Walls made a similar lolly called a Split I think.
Lyons acquired Eldorado of Liverpool, the fourth largest ice cream manufacturer in Britain, in 1963, and rebranded its ice cream business as Lyons Maid. The takeover took its share of the ice cream market to 34 percent, and Lyons was the second largest ice cream manufacturer in Britain (after Wall’s ) throughout much of the twentieth century.
Where Was Lyons Maid Ice Cream Made? Lyons Maid ice cream was made at the Bridge Park Ice Cream factory in Hammersmith, London. The factory went into development in 1954. Lyons Maid ice cream would go on to be manufactured here for decades.
