Ultraman Max (ウルトラマンマックス, Urutoraman Makkusu) is the titular giant of his series. He was a Civilization Guardian (文明監視員, Bunmei Kanshin-in) sent from Nebula M78, and bonded with Kaito Touma to defend Earth from monsters and alien attacks. Ultraman Max's name comes from the word "Maximum".

Only pacifying IF caused him to stop his attack.
