She may be best known for her long-running role (1979 to 1985) as Barbara Hunter (née Brady) in the British soap opera Crossroads and Cordelia Winfield in the ITC series The Baron.

The cause of her death was not revealed, but her niece Joanna Mitchell told the Daily Telegraph that the actress had been in poor health for a number of years.
