Scott Niedermayer (born August 31, 1973) is a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman and current special assignment coach of the Anaheim Ducks. He played 18 seasons and over 1,000 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks.

Scott Niedermayer was an offensive defenseman who could fly like the wind. He was selected 3rd overall in 1991 after winning gold at the World Juniors and won a Memorial Cup the following year. He later won gold at the World Championship, World Cup, and the Olympics (x2).
