Sammy Johnson. Actor: Crocodile Shoes. Sammy was born in Gateshead and played in several local bands including 'Pigmeat'. In 1973 he and other local actors setup the 'Live Theatre Company' in Newcastle. However, Sammy was best known as the lovable Stick in the Hit BBC series Spender (1991).

Ronnie. A keen musician, he learned to play the guitar at an early age and one of his first bands was ‘Pigmeat’ with Jim Murray and Ray Stubbs. However, a job playing bass guitar at a Live Theatre panto in Newcastle led to a part in the show – and the beginning of his acting career.
Later he became a member of the band Pigmeat along with Jim Murray and Ray Stubbs. After playing bass guitar at Live Theatre in a panto he was asked to act in the show. He applied for Equity membership but they already had a 'Ron Johnson' so he used his father's name of 'Sammy'.
