It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our long-standing colleague, Professor Peter Bradshaw, on Saturday 27 July 2024. Peter Bradshaw undertook his B.A. in Aeronautical Engineering at Cambridge University in 1957, and worked in the Aerodynamics Division of the National Physical Laboratory until 1969.
Peter Bradshaw FRS (born 26 December 1935, died 2024) [1] is an aeronautical engineer specialising in fluid mechanics. He was educated at Torquay Grammar School and Cambridge University, where he was awarded a B.A. in Aeronautical Engineering in 1957.
Professor Bradshaw was one of the world's leading authorities in the study of turbulence in shear flows, especially from the point of view of engineering, including aeronautics. Professor Peter Bradshaw FRS died on 27 July 2024.
