On April 4, 1977, Cutlip drowned Julie Marie Bennett, 15, to death in Johnson Creek. Cutlip met Bennett earlier that day at Johnson Creek Park. At about 4:00 p.m., the two went to a Corner Pantry Store where they bought beer and cigarettes.
Cutlip also detailed the drowning death of a 15-year-old Milwaukie girl, Julie Marie Bennett, in 1977, and the strangling death of a 33-year-old Spokane woman, Nielen Loribell Doll, in 1993, police said. He killed Doll after meeting her at a Portland bar.
