Joe Forrester (Lloyd Bridges) is a veteran cop who could have had a desk job but has chosen to stay in uniform walking his old beat in the heart of Los Angeles, a neighbourhood he’s been working for years. It is a tough beat, full of pawn shops, all-night cafes, parking lots and shady characters.
After eight years away from his old district, Joe Forrester is back in the streets where he used to patrol. His present mission consists in capturing four criminals accused of abducting, raping and murdering a girl of the neighborhood.
